A Journey Through Words: Gabriella DeFilippo's Portfolio

Hello! I'm Gabriella DeFilippo, a recent graduate of Duquesne University with a major in English Literature. Although my passion is storytelling in fiction writing, I have taken several courses over the past four years that have exposed me to the world of journalism, which has greatly impacted my writing. With a journalism and creative writing background, I write anything from blogs to news articles and short stories.

 

English and media are important for our world today, as ideas and stories can be shared and conveyed for various readers to enjoy. No matter the written media being shared, there are ample resources to share information and ideas with a greater audience than ever before. For this reason, I believe that the written word has the power to inspire and empower those who engage with English media, giving people the opportunity to have their voices heard and share their thoughts and feelings. Not only giving a voice to those who can change the world for the better but giving a voice to those who don't have the resources or courage to speak for themselves.
